Your journey begins at a central meeting point near downtown Saint John; 56 Water Street. From here, you’ll board the Saint John Reversing Falls jet boat led by a knowledgeable local captain. The jet boat will glide along the Saint John River, passing notable waterfront sights including glimpses of downtown Saint John and Fort La Tour.
The main highlight of the tour is, of course, the Reversing Falls Rapids. This natural phenomenon is caused by the collision of the Bay of Fundy’s tidal surge with the Saint John River’s natural flow that reverses the river’s direction twice daily. Moreover, the 60 meters deep, underwater ledges create intense swirling rapids and standing waves.
