Description

Your adventure kicks off with a convenient pick-up right from your downtown St. John’s hotel in one of our complimentary vehicles. As we drive, your guide will share stories and local insights en route to our first destination: Cape Spear Lighthouse National Historic Site. Perched on the easternmost tip of North America, this iconic lighthouse—Newfoundland’s oldest—offers breathtaking ocean views and a glimpse into maritime history.

From there, your best of St. John’s tour will take you for a narrated drive through the city. You’ll pass colorful Jellybean Row, the lively George Street, and venture into the charming fishing village of Quidi Vidi.

Next, we’ll journey up to Signal Hill National Historic Site, a place steeped in history. Not only was it the setting for the last battle of the Seven Years’ War in North America, but it’s also where Guglielmo Marconi famously received the first transatlantic wireless signal. While on the hill, you’ll have time to visit Cabot Tower and soak in panoramic views of the city and harbor.

Your best of St. John’s Newfoundland tour wraps up with a relaxing return to your hotel, leaving you with memories of a day filled with discovery and stunning scenery.

Great tour of St. John’s! Beautiful historic city! Keith is an excellent guide! As a local, he knew all of the best spots for postcard worthy pictures and all the history of the city. We had ample time to explore Signal Hill and Cape Spear as well as the other stops. Keith also gave great suggestions for must see places to visit and places to eat. Fish and chips from The Duke were the best I’ve ever had. Thanks!!

Keith, our tour guide grew up in St. John’s. He is extremely knowledgeable of the region and gave us lots of useful information, interesting stories, jokes and showed us a several highlights of the city. He was very accommodating and adjusted the tour to return us back to the cruise ship On-time. He had several areas to show us on the tour and gave us plenty of time to explore them. He also gave us the best recommendation for eating out locally for a variety of foods, and fish and chips at the Duke of Duckworth in the St-John's. It was the best fish and chips we have ever had. I highly recommend Keith, he truly is our favorite tour guide. He is extremely polite, friendly, and knowledgeable of the general area. We had an exciting and fun morning!

This review is actually about a private tour organised to Elliston puffin viewing site near Cape Bonavista with Keith following the st John's tour. Keith was a very good tour guide and agreed to give a day trip to Bonavista to see the puffins at Elliston puffin viewing site and then back returning to St John's!! We literally saw thousands of puffins, with many on the mainland at Elliston. We even saw whales from the shore in the distance. Beware of the moose on the Bonavista highway as they have been known to cross the road. Keith was very open and honest person who is considerate to the needs of others for example with mobility issues etc. A brilliant tour guide and thank you so much for the road trip of Newfoundland - I really have fond memories of the puffins and the places along the way!! Good luck and all the best - Siddhi
