The Pearl District

The Pearl’s history dates back to the 19th century, when the site became home to what would eventually be known as the Pearl Brewery. Today, many of the district’s historic structures have been carefully restored and repurposed as restaurants, boutiques, residences, event spaces, and hotels.

 

Food is a major part of the Pearl experience. The district is home to a diverse collection of restaurants and culinary businesses, as well as the Culinary Institute of America’s San Antonio campus. Visitors can also browse independent shops, relax in outdoor gathering spaces, and explore the popular Pearl Farmers Market on select days.
