💡 历史沿革
Maid of the Mist于1846年开始运营，最初是一艘跨境渡船，航行于Niagara River美国一侧、Niagara Falls附近，于1846年9月18日首次启航。这艘可搭载100名乘客的渡船起初生意兴隆，直到连接美国与加拿大的悬索桥建成，渡船客流才随之减少。船主因此调整了服务，将Maid of the Mist旅行团改为观光行程，让乘客能够更近距离地欣赏瀑布。
如今仍在运营的Maid of the Mist公司由R. F. Carter船长与Frank LaBlond于1884年创立。自1971年起，这家游船公司一直由Glynn家族拥有并经营。目前，船队由两艘于2020年投入运营的船只组成，均为全电动游船。其中一艘命名为James V. Glynn，以致敬公司董事长兼首席执行官；另一艘名为Nikola Tesla，以纪念交流电动机之父。Maid of the Mist这一名称本身很可能源于Iroquois族关于LeLawala的神话。
