Your guide will greet you at your downtown hotel location and begin your fully guided tour in the comfort and style of a Mercedes Metris van, leading you to your first stop at the world-famous Alamo. Explore the 1836 battlefield where heroes fell, walk among legends and explore the grounds. Stand in awe of the Shrine of Texas Liberty, get up close and personal with some of the Alamo’s largest weapons and fortifications and enjoy a peaceful stroll through the lush gardens shaded by oak trees.
Next, immerse yourself in lively city culture & arts at the Historic Market Square - the largest Mexican marketplace outside of Mexico! *El Mercado* occupies 3 city blocks filled with authentic sounds, smells and tastes that will make you feel like you are south of the border.
Thereafter, discover even more about San Antonio’s roots and heritage at Missions San Jose - the largest of the city’s 4 southernmost Spanish Colonial Missions as well as the most visited. Known as the *Queen of the Missions*, its stone walls, and granary makes it a magnificent sight to see.
Not far from here is one of San Antonio’s most unique visitor experiences - the River Walk Boat Cruise. Enjoy an enchanting journey on a colorful, silent & electric barge for a 35-40 minute narrated tour of the River City as you glide through La Villita, the city’s first neighbourhood as well as several points of interest seen along the way.
Your final stop will lead you to the skies of San Antonio, 750 feet upward atop Tower of the Americas for the most spectacular panoramic views of the sprawling cityscape below!
