Description

This Halifax private tour to Peggy’s Cove offers a fun and relaxing way to explore both the city and the coast. It lasts 4 hours and is made for small private groups. You’ll travel in comfort with your own guide who shares local stories and helpful tips. The pace is easy, and there’s lots to see without feeling rushed.

Your Peggy’s Cove private tour begins with a scenic coastal drive to one of the most photographed places in Canada. As you ride along the coast, you’ll pass rocky shores and quiet inlets. Your guide will tell you about the people who live here and how the village was built. At Peggy’s Cove, you’ll see fishing boats, wooden houses, and lobster traps. The lighthouse stands on big grey rocks and looks out over the ocean. You’ll have free time to walk around, take photos, or sit and enjoy the view.

After that, you’ll head back to Halifax to visit Citadel Hill. This old fort sits on a hill in the middle of the city. Long ago, soldiers used it to protect the town. Now, it’s a place to learn about Halifax’s history. You might even see people dressed like soldiers from the 1800s, showing what life was like back then. It’s one of the best spots in the city for views of the harbour.

Next, your guide will take you on a driving tour around downtown Halifax. You’ll pass by the Titanic cemetery, where many people from the ship were buried. It’s a quiet and meaningful place. You’ll also see the Halifax Public Gardens, full of flowers and trees, and Pier 21, where newcomers once arrived by ship. It’s now a museum, but you’ll just pass by on the tour.

The tour ends with a drive past the Halifax Farmers Market and Point Pleasant Park. These are places where locals go to shop, walk, or relax. It gives you a small taste of daily life in Halifax.

This is the best Halifax private tour for travelers who want a mix of ocean views, local stories, and a relaxing pace. It’s simple, thoughtful, and made to help you enjoy the best parts of the city and the coast.

Review of previous rating should be a 5, it wouldn't allow me to select the last star.

Omar was our tour driver/guide. His pre tour communication was excelllent, regarding timing, pick-up, etc. He drove three couples in a fairly comfortable van. Took us to interesting places, including Peggy's Cove. He was exceedingly informative, gave us plenty of good information about the area, and showed a very high level of professionalism, courtesy, and enthusiasm for the era. Just a very pleasurable and informative experience.
