The first stop of the tour is Sieur de Monts Spring, the gentler side of the park. It is surrounded by soft forest trails and gardens that give it a peaceful, quiet environment. The spring houses the Abbe Museum and nature center, which allows guests to look into both the area’s Indigenous history and natural environment. It’s a serene starting point that eases you into the pace of the day.
Next is Thunder Hole, a coastal inlet where the Atlantic Ocean is louder and more dramatic. Here, waves funnel into a narrow channel and crash into rocks with a thunderous boom.
