📍 How to Get There
Cadillac Mountain is located inside Acadia National Park, approximately 8 miles from downtown Bar Harbor. Drivers can reach the summit via Cadillac Summit Road, which branches from Park Loop Road and climbs approximately 3.5 miles to the top.
Vehicle reservations are required to drive Cadillac Summit Road during the park’s designated reservation season. A park entrance pass is also required and is separate from the vehicle reservation. Because reservations and parking can be limited, visitors should plan ahead, particularly for sunrise and during the busy summer and fall seasons.
Cadillac Mountain can also be reached on foot using hiking routes such as the Cadillac North Ridge Trail and Cadillac South Ridge Trail. These routes offer a more challenging experience and additional views along the way.

Cadillac Mountain is especially popular from late spring through fall. Summer offers generally comfortable conditions and long daylight hours, while September and October bring cooler temperatures and colourful fall foliage across Mount Desert Island.
