Your tour begins with convenient pick-up from your downtown Austin hotel. Your guide will greet you in the lobby and escort you to a fresh, clean Mercedes Metris van, ready to start your journey to San Antonio. The drive is a short 1 hour 15 minutes (in normal traffic), with scenic Texan points of interest along the way. Your guide will provide a narrated drive, offering interesting facts and local insights about the surrounding area.

Upon arriving in San Antonio, the first stop is The Alamo, a cultural and historic icon. Stand in the footsteps of history as your guide leads you through the 1836 Battle of the Alamo and its iconic courtyard. Afterward, take a peaceful stroll through the lush gardens, shaded by ancient oak trees, and immerse yourself in the rich history of this legendary site.

Next, visit Missions San Jose, the largest and most visited of San Antonio’s four Spanish Colonial Missions. Known as the “Queen of the Missions,” its stunning stone walls and granary offer a glimpse into the city’s fascinating past. Your guide will share captivating stories of those who entered the missions during the 1700s, bringing history to life for all ages.

Next, head to the Tower of the Americas for a thrilling elevator ride up 190 meters (623 feet) to the Observation Deck, where sweeping views of San Antonio reveal the city's vast and vibrant landscape from above.

Next, experience the charm of San Antonio’s River Walk on a 35-minute boat cruise along the 15-mile urban waterway. Glide through the winding river on a silent, electric barge, surrounded by stunning architecture, vibrant culture, and delicious aromas from riverside restaurants. The RiverWalk comes to life with cobblestone walkways, arches, and lush landscaping, making it a truly enchanting experience. As you journey through the area, you'll encounter well-known spots such as La Villita, Old Mill Crossing, and the charming bridge where a memorable proposal scene was filmed in the movie Selena, honoring the beloved Tejano icon Selena Quintanilla.

At the end of your unforgettable day, your guide will transport you back to your downtown Austin hotel, leaving you with lasting memories of the San Antonio tour from Austin.
