Description
Calling all BBQ lovers and curious foodies! Join us on the ultimate flavor-packed journey with the Austin Red River Street Food Walking Tour, where savory smoked meats meet iconic Austin culture. This tour isn’t just about incredible barbecue—it’s a true taste of the city’s soul. From historic neighborhoods to scenic landmarks and mouth watering bites, this Austin BBQ Tour is an experience you won’t forget.
Your adventure begins outside Merit Coffee at 222 West Ave, where you'll meet your local, friendly guide. From there, stroll past the striking Austin Public Library and make your way to the famous Willie Nelson statue. Next, explore the charming Rainey Street Historic District, a lively area full of bungalow-style bars, food trailers, and laid-back locals (plus their dogs!) enjoying the best of Austin’s hospitality.
As the tour unfolds, you'll walk toward the Colorado River to catch a view of the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge, home to the world’s largest urban bat colony. If you're in town from March to October, don’t miss our Scenic Austin Night Tour for a chance to witness over a million bats taking flight at dusk.
After soaking in the sights, it’s time to feed your appetite! Your first food stop serves up a saucy pulled pork sandwich that’s as flavorful as it is satisfying. Then, wander into the heart of the Red River Cultural District, a vibrant community that showcases the best of Austin’s live music, local art, and of course—BBQ.
The final stop on your Austin BBQ Tour is the grand finale: your choice of juicy, smoked meats like brisket, pulled pork, chicken, or turkey. Each bite is a celebration of Texas tradition, slow-cooked to perfection.
