Tour of Niagara Falls

This was a 4 hour tour. We travelled in a van with another family and stopped at various attractions. The tour guide was knowledgeable and easy to talk with. He took us directly to the attractions and made sure we had our tickets to get in. The only negative comment I have is that the driver was not usually on time to pick us up at a stop. The problem was that after he dropped us off; he had another group of people to pick up and drop off. In theory this is probably a good use of time; but it is not fair to passengers who are at the pickup point in advance of their pickup time. We did not know what time we were being picked up from our campground at the start of the trip. I strongly recommend that people be told their pickup time when their trip is confirmed. I would recommend this tour to other travellers

This tour was all that we expected...

This tour was all that we expected it to be. AWESOME!<br/ It started with the pick up at the hotel. Being disabled; this feature was great.
Quasi was very informative and enjoyable as our guide. The waits in between sites; was a bit lengthy; but it worked for me; as I needed the time to rest and use the washrooms. <br/ We went to the Skylon Tower first; which was amazing. The view of all three falls was incredible!
Next we went on a tour of the history of the forming of the falls and then to the Behind the Falls portion. Walking in tunnels under and behind the falls; you get the feeling of the massiveness; and the reality; feeling all the rumbling of the water. Then you pop out beside the falls on this ledge! OMG!! We then went to see the humongous dams and then last and the finale; the Horn Blower boat ride. We were lucky; because for some reason our boat was only 1/4 full. Therefore; our two adult children were able to stand right up to the rails. I myself; sat on a box/bench and hanged on to some inside rails; for dear life. As it turns out; the new Horn Blower boats are so smooth; I had nothing to worry about! We passed the two American Falls; which were incredible already; but then you arrive at the Canadian Falls. It is an incredible experience. Being at the base of this massive wonder of the world; you are humbled by mother nature. After that; they dropped us off at the hotel doorstep. That was such a comfort and relief. To go straight up to our room; dry off; change; relax after a fun filled day; and then go down for dinner when we had caught our breaths and rested. Well worth the price we paid!!

Two of the BEST

I do not usually give super reviews but the two tours we took were GREAT. We did the luminations tour which included dinner; horn lower night time tour of the Falls and a chance to go up to the place where they have the flood lights and we got the chance to change the color of the lights that were lighting up the falls. How cool is that. John our guide was knowledgeable friendly and lots of fun. The next day we did the combination tour and saw both the New York falls sights and Canada sights. We got wet; had hiked a lot; had lunch ; rode the Maid of the Mist and went up to the top of the Skylon Tower. Steve told us many historical stories and facts that we would not have known. John and Steve were great. We highly recommend this tours and theses two fabulous tour guides.

Our trip was beyond perfect! We enjoyed the small group and informative driver and tour guide Guy. He was very knowledgable about the falls and answered all our questions. His directions on where to get the best view on the Hornblower boat into the falls and other tips were excellent! It was a fun group and we enjoyed it all! There is no way we would have learned and saw this much without the Viator tour! Front of the line and off you go! Highly recommend! Will be using Viator again! Already have friends interested in the Niagara tour!

What an enjoyable and entertaining tour!

Our guides picked our group up (12 in total) promptly at 9am in front of our hotel. We proceeded to our first attraction; a ride to the top of the Skylon Observation Deck....wow! The view was spectacular even though it was a bit overcast that morning. There are gift shops on the main floor and a small one at the top observation deck also. Next we went on the Hornblower Niagara Cruise into the falls. They provide you with disposable rain coats which we definitely needed....but such fun! It is just amazing how powerful and loud the falls are. There's also a couple of gift shops and opportunities to get refreshments including alcoholic beverages. We then went on the tour of the tunnels behind the falls. Loaded into an elevator you decend 150 ft through bedrock to the tunnels to Cataract Portal and the Great Falls Portal. There are stories and pictures along the way of the tunnels so you also learn the history of falls and some other interesting tidbits. There is also an upper and lower observation deck. The sound is like thunder and the view is awe-inspiring! We then proceeded on a driving tour past the botanical gardens; the floral clock; the hydro-power plant; and whirlpool rapids. Our tour guides Guy and John were energetic; funny and entertaining. Everyone in our group had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is on a tight time schedule....4 hours pickup to drop off. Best part is they pick up and drop off at your hotel so no worries about getting lost; driving in unfamiliar territory or finding a place to park. Definitely; if you have more time; drive yourself and spend as much time as you like at each attraction or find an extended tour which might offer more time at each of them.

Pros:small group; punctual and polite guide; no lines to any attraction places.
Cons: felt more like being driven than a tour. Or maybe it's because there's not much history on Niagara to tell. Overall ; good experience.

Wonderful Tour

Combo US/Canada Tour was taken and this was the best tour taken. Originally thought this was going to be on a big tour bus and was nervous I would be taking my own tour the next day to take in everything. But this was not; it was a small group tour and he took time to let us explore and explain history and didn't talk too much which was awesome!! Would defiantly take the tour again just for fun.

See Sight Tours - Niagara Falls Tours Canada

I’m sorry; but when I pay over $100 for a tour; I expect a professional guide. Guy was personable and sweet; but he was essentially a chauffeur. He took us to the destinations offering the barest of facts and dropped us off. We were on our own to learn anything (at the Skylon Tower he advised us to read the plaques for information). When we asked him questions; he showed that his knowledge was very limited. At each stop he gave us more time than needed. When we went to the appointed pick-up spot; he wasn’t there. So we hung out another 10-15 minutes until he arrived. This happened at every single stop! The company advertised a 4 hour tour. From start to finish this was 3 ¼ and that’s including the 30-40 minutes of hanging out in parking lots waiting for him. It turns out he was running another tour at the same time. Where did the time go? As advertised; the “Ultimate” tour should also include the Origin of The Falls / Powerplants (we didn’t do that) Whirlpool Rapids Observation Deck [10 min] (drive by) Floral Clock [15 min] (drive by). I suggest using a cheap bus tour to handle procuring tickets and negotiating lines (only line is at the boat ride). The guide on the bus will be informative and you will get what was advertised.

Wonderful tour. TAKE THIS TOUR .

We love this tour. Daud the owner picked us up at our KOA lodging area. He was very helpful and we were able to see all the sights in a private smaller group. We never waited on line and we enjoyed the tour. The falls were beautiful and I enjoyed the journey behind the falls. We would recommend to anyone coming from out of town. Thanks
