About Floral Clock

The Floral Clock is one of the most distinctive landmarks along the Niagara Parkway, combining colourful horticulture with a fully functioning timepiece. Its enormous clock face is covered with thousands of carefully arranged plants, creating intricate designs that change from year to year.

 

✨ What to Know

Located between the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and Queenston Heights, the Floral Clock was built in 1950 and features a clock face measuring approximately 12 metres (40 feet) in diameter. Niagara Parks horticultural staff plant and maintain the display, using thousands of carpet bedding plants to create a new decorative design each season.

Stop for a close look at the detailed floral display and watch the clock’s large hands move across the colourful face. A viewing area provides a great vantage point for photographs, while the surrounding gardens and landscaping make this a pleasant short stop while travelling along the Niagara Parkway.

The Floral Clock is most colourful during the warmer months when its seasonal planting is in full display. A visit typically takes around 10 to 20 minutes, making it easy to combine with nearby attractions such as the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, Butterfly Conservatory, and Queenston Heights Park.
