About USS Constitution
If you ever get the opportunity to visit Boston one of the most interesting sites to visit is the USS Constitution. Famously called ‘Old Ironsides,’ this ship is the oldest commissioned warship still floating on the surface of the earth. One of the most famous ships in history is the USS Constitution which was commissioned in 1797; the ship has been actively engaged in most of the wars that America has fought in, including the War of 1812 and the Barbary Wars. Today it continues to serve as a commissioned training and ceremonial ship of the US Navy and is a highly interesting attraction for visitors.
✨ What to Know
The USS Constitution is located in the Charlestown Navy Yard which is close to the city of Boston. It is open to the public for visits from Tuesday to Sunday, therefore, make your bookings appropriately. Just a heads up, you will be required to present your photo identification card at the gate, which may include a driver's license or passport and the tours are free of charge.
📍 How to Get There
The following are some of the routes that can be used to get to Charlestown Navy Yard: For the adventurous, take the ferry from Boston Harbor.
